Smoked Hot Pepper Extra Virgin Olive Oil 250 ml
Smoked taste can become heavy very quickly. Successful use is not about making an entire dish taste of smoke, but about adding a controlled depth that supports the impression of fire cooking. Dardanos Fine Foods Smoked Hot Pepper Extra Virgin Olive Oil balances the darker side of smoked pepper with measured heat and the fruit of early-harvest olive oil. Smoke appears first, followed by warmth and the natural peppery finish of the olive.
Where the Smoked Character Comes From
Selected olives and smoked hot peppers are processed and pressed together on the same day. The smoked character comes directly from the peppers rather than liquid smoke added to finished olive oil. Co-pressing distributes the taste through the oil and connects the heat with the olive. A few drops are therefore enough to produce a clear effect. Excessive quantities may hide the seasoning, texture and natural taste of the food.
When to Add It During Barbecue Cooking
Add the oil after meat, chicken or vegetables have left the grill and rested briefly. Applying a large amount before cooking may expose the smoked pepper to excessive heat and create an uncontrolled burnt taste on the surface. A thin line is enough for steak, burgers, meatballs, chicken wings and ribs. When barbecue sauce and salt are already prominent, reduce the quantity further to prevent the final seasoning from becoming too dense.
Vegetables, Pasta and Meze
Roasted aubergine, potatoes, mushrooms, corn, pumpkin and cauliflower respond particularly well to the oil. It can be added after serving to tomato pasta or pizza. A few drops over hummus, yoghurt with aubergine or pulse-based meze create a clear fire-cooked direction. Use additional care when the dish already contains smoked meat or strongly smoked cheese, as similar flavours can overlap and reduce the clarity of the final plate.

Storage
Store the oil in a cool, dry and dark place. Keeping it beside the barbecue, hob or oven may seem convenient, but prolonged heat can affect its quality. Close the cap firmly after use. Natural cloudiness or solidification may occur in cold conditions and will disappear when the oil returns to room temperature. Do not add spices, peppers, water or sauces to the product.
